Umhlanga, The reed dance

Service Description

This is a colourful event for Eswatini maidens to dance with princesses Infront of Their Majesties in the Royal Palace. It is to encourage young girls to keep their virginity as only Virgin girls are supposed to partake in the dance. The ceremony lasts for a while week and the last day is a public holiday in the country where everyone is allowed to watch and enjoy the beautiful dances the girls perform. This is the only ceremony where the King chooses his wives, so in each and every year there is a possibility of the King choosing his next wife only from this ceremony.
